Capital City Equestrian Center
Capital City Equestrian, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded and operated by avid equestrians and experienced social service and educational professionals. Capital City Equestrian, Inc. will provide educational, recreational and developmental services to urban and special needs youth; targeting those youth between the ages of 6 to 18. The program will offer youth a productive outlet that gives them as an alternative to drugs, crime and negative activities. Instruction on horsemanship and horse backriding skills, will build self esteem, improve social skills and provide strong educational enrichment. The organization will conduct summer camps, after-school programming and tutoring, day programs for home-school students, therapeutic riding, and horseback riding lesson programs. It is our goal to reach 100 youth, yearly, and teach them to ride and care for horses while equipping them with the tools and skills to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
